And your gift goes on giving. Many of the students who receive help and find work go on to pay for younger siblings to study as well, who also eventually find work and thus break the cycle of poverty in which so many are trapped.

How much is needed?

A student can be sponsored and allocated to a particular donor for between R8 000 and R20 000 per year, depending on the type of course. However, even the smallest contribution is worthwhile as it is pooled with others to help as many students as possible. Donors are sent copies of sponsored students’ reports and letters on a regular basis, as well as our Annual Reports and newsletters. .
