Access Trust is a registered Trust, IT number 3214/98, and a registered non-profit organisation : NPO 006-305.

Access Trust (formerly known as TECSAT) has been in existence for 10 years, and until recently was administered by the African Scholars’ Fund, which has an impeccable 35-year track record, many overseas donors, and was twice the recipient of the Premier Award for Education. Their founder and now-retired Director, Dr Margareet Elsworth, who was awarded an MBE in 1997 for services to education, is on the Access Trust Board of Trustees.

Since reaching our 10th anniversary, we have become proudly independent but continue to operate on the same principles of the highest ethical values and service to the community (click here for our 10th anniversary booklet). Most of our donors have been loyal supporters for at least five years, and many have supported us since the beginning, the greatest testimony to their faith in the value of the work we do.

Accounts are audited annually and financial statements can be provided to interested persons on request.
